Hello! My name is Dan Padavona. I graduated from Cortland College with a B.A. in Communications in 1991. From 1987 to 1991 I served as the Voice of Red Dragon football on WSUC-FM.

It was during this time I gained an appreciation for the excitement of small college football and have been hooked ever since. No doubt these formative years were heavily influenced by some of the greatest Cortaca Jug games ever played - the 1988 Game of the Century at Chugger Davis Field, and the rematch on South Hill in the Eastern Region final.

Besides my interest in Division III football I also enjoy severe thunderstorm and tornado pursuit and photography. I have a B.S. in Meteorology from Oneonta and currently work for the National Weather Service as a Forecaster. For those keeping score at home I have the dubious distinction of having attended two colleges with the nickname "Red Dragons." Such creativity can only compare to various Canadian Football League teams' insistence on using the name "Rough Riders."

I married my high school and college sweetheart, Terri Musci. We have two beautiful children - Joey and Julia. We live in Vestal, NY just a short trip down Interstate 81 from Cortland football.

In my spare time you will find me watching scary movies, and listening to heavy metal. My favorite bands these days are Clutch, Down, COC, and Black Label Society.

A word of note - I have a dry and somewhat abrasive sense of humor. If you are a fan of some other Upstate NY football team and think I am unfairly harsh on your team, you are probably right! Every team needs foils, something to align against. Don't take it personally. Your team's existence and my light hearted hatred for them fuels my interest. Hey it's just a game.
