Autera NJAC Rookie of the Week

Freshman running back Justin Autera is the NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week. Autera rushed for 67 yards on only five carries in a 30-7 rout of The College of New Jersey. Autera also had punt returns of 51 and 31 yards. The 51-yard return went to the TCNJ 7-yard line, and led to a Cortland touchdown.

Autera has been racing up the depth chart in 2009, and is now second at running back behind Dom Sair. Autera took over kick return duties three weeks ago when the former return man left the team. Against West Conn, Autera returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns to earn NJAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
