Kyle Peterson NJAC Special Teams Player of the Week

Senior punter Kyle Peterson's impressive 2009 season continued this week, with the Hendrick Hudson graduate named NJAC Special Teams Player of the Week. Peterson averaged 38.5 yards per punt at Brockport Saturday, with three of four punts landing inside the Brockport 20-yard line. Two punts were downed inside the 5-yard line.

Peterson averages 38.8 yards per punt this season, with 14 of 41 punts landing inside the opposing teams' 20-yard line. Amazingly, only three out of 17 punts landing inside the 20-yard line have gone for touchbacks. Peterson has also had six punts of 50 yards or more.
