Cortland to Challenge St. John Fisher in ECAC Bowl

The SUNY Cortland Red Dragons will travel to St. John Fisher to compete in the ECAC Northwest Bowl on Saturday. Cortland was 7-3 during the regular season, and finished third in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The St. John Fisher Cardinals finished 6-3, with a 6-1 record with Eastern Region. The Cardinals tied for first place in the Empire-8, but lost the tie breaker to Alfred University.

The Cardinals and Red Dragons have not met since St. John Fisher defeated Cortland 47-37 in the 2003 ECAC Northwest Bowl. Cortland won four previous games against the Cardinals between 1988 and 1991, prior to the Cardinals rising to national prominence.

The ECAC Northwest Bowl is scheduled to kickoff at 1 P.M. Saturday.
