Five Dragons to D3Football.com All-East Team

Five members of the 2009 SUNY Cortland Red Dragons were named to the D3Football.com All-East Team. Senior offensive guard Chris Van De Weert, senior defensive end Bryan Wiley, and senior defensive end Evan Wyler were selected for the All-East Second Team. Sophomore cornerback D.J. Romano and senior wide receiver Eric Hajnos made the All-East Third Team.

Senior captain Van De Weert anchored a Red Dragons offensive line which allowed only 15 sacks in 11 games. Book ends Wiley and Wyler shared the team lead with 10 sacks each from their defensive end positions. Hajnos broke the single season Cortland record for touchdown receptions with 10, despite missing the Montclair State game due to injury. Romano led Cortland with four interceptions and 8 pass breakups.
